Igneous Geochemistry Postdoctoral Position, UCSC.
Applications are invited for a Postgraduate Researcher position to study
U-series and other geochemical aspects of magma genesis at western Pacific
subduction zones with Jim Gill. TIMS and ICPMS (ELEMENT) are available and
ICPMS-MC will be installed during 2002. Technical support is excellent.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Earth Sciences or related field and TIMS
or ICPMS experience required.
Salary:  $31,044-$46,056 commensurate with qualifications and experience
(11-month basis).
Position Available: February 1, 2001. Two year appointment with extension
contingent upon funding
Closing Date: Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the
final closing date of March 31, 2002. However, the first review of
applications will begin on December 1, 2001 with the possibility of closing
the search soon thereafter. Interviews during Fall AGU are expected.
